Starting School

Starting school is an exciting new step. As a federation we are in a unique position as children start with us in Year R and then transition to our Junior site in Year 3. We operate as a virtual Primary School and ensure that transition is ongoing throughout the year for all children and year groups to best prepare the children for all future steps in their education journey. We love sharing our school with prospective parents. Reception

Applications for new Year R children open in the November before the children are due to start school.

Detailed transition for Year R begins in May following confirmation of school places. This is shared directly with parents and includes plenty of opportunities for children to build a secure connection to the new teacher. Please see the additional information on 'Starting in Reception'.

Mid-year Admissions

Children who join us mid-year will be supported by a friendly staff team. Transition at this stage is bespoke and personalised to each individual child, this will be supported by discussions with the child's previous school and their parents/carers. A fully trained ELSA is available on both sites.
